Rental Car Website

Our team was tasked with creating detailed designs for the redesign of a major car rental website based on the research conducted and the approved design direction outlined during the recent Definition phase. The scope included car reservation flows, rewards program enrollment and management, fleet information, marketing and promotional information, etc. After a few weeks of initial whiteboarding, our team of interaction designers, content designers, and visual designers created detailed designs in very fast-paced 2-week sprints.

We compiled a wireframes deck documenting site maps, navigation details, screen transitions, all interactions, and a revisions index. Each screen was annotated outlining all microinteractions and conditions. Annotations followed a standardized structure for easy reference.

These Fjord annotated decks are quite detailed—”documentation heaven” as one developer put it. They include everything you’d need to know about how the site/application functions. They were given to the client for review and sign-off each sprint, then to the development teams to begin their backend work while visual designs were created.

Sample pages are below:

Note: I created the desktop wires, while a teammate created all mobile web wires shown here. Annotations were a group effort, but I wrote the majority of them.
